Streetlifting in Ringwood: Weighted Calisthenics at StrongHouse

Aug 27
1 min read

Streetlifting blends bodyweight strength with heavy loading — think weighted pull-ups, dips and muscle-ups rather than barbell squats and deadlifts. It's one of the fastest-growing strength sports in Australia, and StrongHouse in Ringwood is set up to train it properly.

The setup streetlifting actually needs

Dip stations and pull-up rigs built for adding serious weight, not just bodyweight reps. Add in dedicated calisthenics space and the strength equipment already on our floor for powerlifting and strongman, and you’ve got everything you need to train weighted calisthenics seriously — something most gyms in Ringwood simply don’t carry.

Part of the StrongHouse competition history

We've hosted streetlifting competitions on-site alongside our powerlifting and strongman events, giving local athletes a place to test weighted pull-ups, dips and muscle-ups without travelling into the city. That competition standard is baked into the equipment members train on every day.

Where to start

If you're already comfortable with bodyweight pull-ups and dips, adding weight is a natural next step — and our coaches can help you build a program around it. New to it entirely? We can start you on the fundamentals and build toward loading up. Either way, if you're in Ringwood, Croydon or Bayswater and want a gym that trains streetlifting properly, come see the setup.
