What Makes a Gym Strongman-Ready? Inside StrongHouse's Strongman Setup

Aug 25
1 min read

Strongman training needs space and equipment that most commercial gyms simply don't carry. At StrongHouse in Ringwood, strongman isn't an afterthought — it's part of what the gym was built for.

The gear you actually need

Atlas stones, yokes, farmer's handles, log bars, sleds and enough open floor space to actually move them — this is the equipment strongman training demands, and it's what sets StrongHouse apart from the standard Ringwood gym.

Proven on competition day

StrongHouse has hosted strongman competitions on-site, giving local athletes a place to test themselves without travelling into the city. That same competition-grade equipment is available for training, every day, to members working toward their own goals.

Getting started with strongman

New to strongman? Our coaches can walk you through the fundamentals of each event and build it into your training alongside — or instead of — traditional powerlifting and strength work. Come train where Melbourne's east comes to lift heavy.
